Inspired by the Northwest Coast, this beautiful formline design was created by Tlingit Master Artist Israel Shotridge.
This design depicts the time when Salmon migrate from the ocean and swim to the upper reaches of rivers where they spawn. Salmon plays an integral part in the life of indigenous people from the Pacific Northwest. For many Northwest tribes, Salmon provides the nutritional value that is needed for a healthy life. Honored and celebrated by all coastal natives, the Salmon serves as a powerful symbol of regeneration, self-sacrifice and perseverance.
This art print series is designed for the more serious Native art collector, printed on a designated high-quality Epson Art Printer, with archival inks, on museum quality paper to last a lifetime. Colors are very rich and will withstand time.
A print certificate with Artist Photo, Bio, Design Description along with its number in the edition is included on the back of this framed piece.
