About Israel Shotridge: Tlingit Master Artist / Carver is a member of the Teikweidee Brown Bear Clan of the Taantakwan Tongass Tribe from Ketchikan. Israel has an extensive art portfolio of his commissioned artworks which he created over the past 30+ yrs. An overview that highlights his art career can be viewed on his upcoming new website portfolio at israelshotridge.com. There will be a Blog where he will share his current art activities. 

Israel Shotridge Carving Totem Pole

Israel Shotridge has carved many monumental totem poles, house screens, bentwood boxes, masks, carved panels and other ceremonial objects in traditional Tlingit-style as well as creating contemporary designs in his work in a variety of mediums including his exploration in bronze and glass. He is a master in engraving silver & gold. Shotridge has received many honors during his career, a few highlights are his Artist Fellowships which were awarded, Alaska State Native Art Fellowship in 1990, WA state Folk Art Fellowship in 2009 and the Native Art & Culture Fellowship a National foundation in 2015. Many independent films, editorials, article publications, and books have included images and info. of Shotridge’s artworks.

Shotridge continues to create new designs for The Shotridge Collection reproductions, as well, he carves smaller original artworks and jewelry on a regular basis.

The force behind the success of the Shotridge business. … holds the position of CEO with its daily operations as well as heads the SALES & MARKETING for SHOTRIDGE STUDIOS which includes a retail storefront on Vashon Island called The Ravens Nest Art Gallery & Gifts, two Native Art online stores northwestnativegifts on etsy.com and the new shotridge.com.  Sue has developed a series of very successful product lines called The Shotridge Collection which has been marketed through the Retail & Wholesale division of Shotridge Studios during the past 30yrs.

Sue received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Jewelry & Metals from NAU in Flagstaff, AZ. in 1982 and has been collaborating with Israel in their jewelry offerings, together they created the Lovebird Jewelry Collection: A reproduced jewelry line made in Sterling Silver and Alchemia Gold, this line is available here on shotridge.com.  Sue uses her jewelry fabrication skills in collaboration with Israel's native design and engraving skills to accomplish their original jewelry pieces as well. As a Jewelry Designer, Sue often creates her own original jewelry for the Shotridge Studios business. 

Together the Shotridge’s are well-established leaders in marketing Northwest Coast Native Art. They continue to share their cultural knowledge, art skills and marketing services throughout the Pacific Northwest Coast & Alaska whenever requested.

The Shotridge's love to travel throughout the Southwest especially to Monument Valley to get away,  take a break and recharge themselves.

The Shotridge Collection is a series of multiple product lines - reproductions featuring 30 whimsical Tlingit designs by Israel Shotridge developed into art cards, art prints, blanket throws, jewelry, iPhone cases, computer sleeves, miniature drum ornaments and a variety of other gift items.

Custom products, such as apparel, corporate gifts and any other product we currently are not producing utilizing the Shotridge designs are available upon request. Set up costs and minimum orders are required with a 50% deposit upon ordering. Further discussion: contact sue@shotridge.com
