This design depicts the time when Salmon migrate from the ocean and swim to the upper reaches of rivers where they spawn. Salmon plays an integral part in the life indigenous people of the Pacific Northwest. For many Northwest tribes Salmon provides the nutritional value that is needed for a healthy life.
